Personal Statement

I am an early career researcher and climate change politics and policy enthusiast. My research passion lies in advancing knowledge on how politics can aid and or inhibit the climate change response. I conduct and collaborate with researchers from other fields to expand the frontiers of this, especially as it affects Nigeria, South Africa and the rest of Africa. My research is critical because politics effects the how climate change actors advance, negotiate and develop response strategies and plans across international, national, subnational and the private. My ultimate goal is to develop practical research findings and recommendations that would enhance climate change response in Africa through collaboration and the adoption of nuanced, interdisciplinary lens.
