Personal Statement
I am a Professor with diverse research interests in social, educational and clinical areas, among others. My work focuses on identifying the felt needs of diverse clients, identifying social and clinical determinants of health and mobilising human and material resources to meet such needs. I work with multidisciplinary teams in social, educational and healthcare industry to understand, unravel social, clinical and educational pathologies and proffering evidence-based research outcomes to ameliorate such conundrums locally, regionally and globally. I have published widely in both national and internal outlets and collaborated with many colleagues.
I have bio-psycho-socio-educational training and skills. I have broad experience in management, social and bio-medical research design, implementation and evaluation of multi-level interventions for improved health, social development outcomes, community capacity development and community-based participatory research and exploratory evaluation. I was the pioneering Head of Department of Social Work, University of Lagos, Nigeria 2018-2021 and pioneering Director, Department of Health and Social Care, National Senior Citizens Centre, (NSCC), Abuja, FCT (2022-2023).
