Personal Statement
I am an Associate Professor with more than eighteen years of experience in teaching and research in agricultural geography, gender issues, and climate change, with proven ability to collaborate with different feminist and gender professionals and practitioners, to solving the complex, and multifaceted and inequality challenges facing the African region. Committed advocate, able leader, and change agent for improved human welfare and hands-on training in various subjects, in agro-food systems, field engagement, gender, community profiling, policy engagements, and development issues. Proven ability to conceptualize gender-based agro-food systems and climate change projects, build and lead teams to actualize valuable process solutions to gender-balanced well-being, and sound environmental practices. Effective educator, willing and able to learn from fellow faculty, non-faculty members and inspire both men and women to become leaders for sustainable environmental the urban agricultural leaders of the future.
