Personal Statement

I have over 20 years of experience in teaching, research, and capacity building spiced with professional contributions. My research leadership experience includes being Principal Researcher and Co-investigator on several research projects which align with key themes in Climate, Environment and Natural Resource Management including land-use change and greenhouse gases emissions, climate risk, impact, adaptation and resilience, sustainable land management, ecosystems and biodiversity, resource efficiency, and rural livelihoods and food security. My current research is focused on deconstructing, reframing and re-imagining multidimensional climate risks (from physical and social domains) from the perspectives of the people living on the margins in order to improve adaptative capacity and strengthen resilience of the most vulnerable. I am keen to collaborate on research projects and opportunities that promote adaptation to climate, sustainable management of land, environment and natural resources, and drive climate mainstreaming and implementation of environment, social and governance systems.
